About Alaina

Alaina Ravello is an international award-winning artist and performer based out of Toronto. She specializes in bellydance (raqs sharqi) and Bollywood dance. As a multidisciplinary artist, Alaina also includes her own singing, live and recorded, into select dance performances. 

She is one of the top bellydance soloists in Canada while also performing as principal dancer in several acclaimed companies, including Ya Amar, Invoketress and Infuzion Artistry.

She has performed for thousands at events such as the Canadian National Exhibition, the world’s largest and longest running multicultural festival, Folklorama and the world’s largest Bollywood Pride event, Rangeela. Alaina has also shared the stage with musical artists such as Sean Paul, Akon, Karl Wolf, Roula Said, The Lemon Bucket Orkestra, Eccodek and more.

Alaina has studied bellydance for over 15 years, as well as ballet, contemporary, jazz and Bollywood dance.

As an instructor, she combines her lifelong experience studying and performing multiple styles with a positive, empowering and culturally informed approach to learning.
