About Alaina

Alaina Ravello is an international award-winning performer and one of Canada’s top raqs sharqi soloists. She is also a principal dancer of several acclaimed companies, including Ya Amar, Invoketress and Infuzion Artistry.

She has performed for thousands at events such as the Canadian National Exhibition, the world’s largest and longest running multicultural festival, Folklorama and the world’s largest Bollywood Pride event, Rangeela. Alaina has also shared the stage with global recording artists such as Sean Paul, Akon, Karl Wolf and more.

Based out of Toronto, Alaina began her dance studies at the age of four in ballet, contemporary and jazz. In 2013, she joined her first bellydance and fusion dance troupe and has since studied with local and international teachers, including the legendary Dina Talaat. In 2018, Alaina travelled to Egypt to further her dance studies.

As an instructor, Alaina combines her lifelong experience studying and performing several dance forms with a positive, empowering approach to learning.
